Drop Dead: Remains gets updated (to v1.3.4!)


Drop Dead: Remains (inside Drop Dead Collection) gets updated to v1.3.4. Here's what's new:


v1.3.4 (29-Sep-2024) "Fixes, Fixes, Fixes"

- added a separate statistics window to the title screen

- some objects (e.g., fragile saws and tvs) with hitpoints that didn't explode before

  when hitpoints = 0 exploded now - fixed this

- neutron bomb pieces, throwing stars and blades use now generic damage multiplier

  instead of hard coded special damage code

- calculations for the database connectivity are now done in the background in menus

  and in the editor so 1st access to the database should work faster than before

- http boxes and balls have now modes: flesh+bone (old default), solid object and

  solid object (no explosion sound)

- added Characters.sm_addPinataBodySprites that when true adds sprites to Pinata

  Horsie's torso (these need to be modded), for modders

- if two overlapping objects are marked with "randomize" and only other gets created

  then it doesn't automatically wake up any more (unless marked as "wake up at start")

- hinge joint would override the attached object's motor (e.g., attaching a vase to a

  saw) and original motor didn't work any more - fixed this

- added bio for Voodude

- string encoder in level data now outputs <!> when the string is empty instead of a "

  so don't use plain <!> in the object names etc. that are put into level data

- Liecia was incorrectly marked as fire proof

- bottom screen buttons cannot be pressed any more when e.g., help screen is visible

- fixed neutron bomb damage (broken in previous version)

- updated Wishi's normal and Halloween sprites

Drop Dead: Remains might get more updates later, but don't count on it, Ville and Jyri have other projects also to work on...
